Knives is the fourth studio album released by punk rock band Aiden. Recording and composition. On January 15, 2009, it was announced that the band had begun recording their next album. It was recorded and produced by WiL at his own studio, Sleepy Hollow, in Seattle. The album is a return to Aiden's horror punk style, after the lighter style of the album Conviction.

Their last album on Ecstatic Peace was highly acclaimed and co-produced by label owner Thurston Moore. This new long-player is in a similar vein - long, drawn-out and sprawling; the shortest song is just shy of the five minute mark. Pulse-like repetition and reed-organ oscillations are the main framework as the duo are joined here by Todd Cavallo on bass and Ryan Naideau on drums. Like SB label-mates Moon Duo, Follakzoid or The Holydrug Couple, Religious Knives draw from a well of pounding rhythmic drums and psychedelic drones with heavy organ and synth landscapes. Release date: 4/26/2011.
