Secret Life of Machines was a breakthrough on many fronts: for Rachmad as a producer, for the label 100% Pure, and to some extent for Dutch techno itself. It was a fresh thrilling sound and we were blown away by the Detroit techno futuristic flavours," recalls label boss Dylan Hermelijn (AKA 2000 and One). Not only was it going to be Steve's first album but it was a first album for 100% Pure and it immediately gave the label international visibility. The LP laid a blueprint for melodic techno that still holds up 17 years later

still waiting for draghixia, hydroxy and satyricon to get re-cut and reissued the way they deserve. secret life and sitting on clouds make this repress a valueable possesion, but i'd still insist on publishing the missing tracks (if possible).
Ddilonyne
Still a great release in 2015, I picked up the repress pretty cheap it is missing Satyricon as many have mentioned before but I think even without this track it stands the test of time and still sounds current.
Wishamac
I was super stoked to see that this record was getting repressed. I was super disappointed to see that this record was getting rearranged and hacked up. Guess I will just keep holding out for finding an original pressing somewhere.
Fordrelis
can you check if sitting on clouds is significantly different? Or just remastered.. thnx
Nicanagy
Why do people do this? Its completely nonsensical to leave out Satyricon even on the CD version.
Balhala
This one really confuses me. I understand why they'd want to put less time on each side of the vinyl. I bitch all the time about labels trying to squeeze too much time on each side. But leave off Satyricon!?! And add Thera instead? Why? Go buy the Thera 2x12" LP if you need that track. Decisions like this make no sense to me. Is 100% Pure planning on reissuing Satyricon independently of this release? That'd be fine with me. I was SUPER looking forward to this reissue, but I'm disappointed this didn't include Satyricon. Therefore, I'm still looking for a copy of the original pressing if anyone would like to entertain trades. Check my inventory.Word.
Molotok
Really disappointed satyricon is not on the re-issue. Not going to bother with this now....gonna hold out for a good copy of the original pressing

Sometimes friendly harassment can work. I've written some--perhaps slightly angry--e-mails to labels about disappointing creative decisions. As long as the criticism is rooted in The Love, I say it's fair play.

I feel the same way. I have the original and honestly it was a great idea to do a remaster. Was looking forward to it then I saw the glaring omissions. Really bothered me. I have that Thera album too. That didn't really help the cause.

Why were two (important) tracks left off this remastered version?
