The Tic Code (also known as Lessons in the Tic Code) is a drama film directed by Gary Winick and written by Polly Draper. The musician and the boy form a friendship, and the film is loosely based upon the experiences of Draper's jazz musician husband Michael Wolff, who provided the film's score

Draper also wrote, directed, and co-starred in Stella's Last Weekend (2018). two sons, Nat and Alex; the latter three played the father and sons in The Naked Brothers Band series and film, which also included Draper's niece, Jesse, as the band's babysitter. More recently, she starred with her sons as their mother in the film Stella's Last Weekend (2018).

They played guitars and sang at his bedside, tapping into the sweet, winsome gifts that had made the Wolffs a famous musical family nearly a decade earlier, via the hit TV series The Naked Brothers Band. Wolff’s affecting title track closes the album with mercurial, nearly disorienting contours that nonetheless remain alluring. ‘Swirl’ is a song I wrote during my illness, when I felt life swirling around me, Wolff says. I was inspired by Bill Evans’ admonition that ‘Truth and beauty.

Michael Blieden Wolff (born July 31, 1952) is an American jazz pianist and composer. Wolff is best known for his role as the bandleader and musical director of The Arsenio Hall Show. He was also the co-star on Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band with sons Nat and Alex Wolff; it was a mock documentary created by his wife actress Polly Draper. Wolff, whose father Marvin was a social worker, was born in Victorville, California, and was raised in New Orleans, Tennessee, and California.

He also co-starred on Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band with sons Nat and Alex Wolff, which was a mock documentary created and produced by his wife, actress Polly Draper. In 1972, Wolff left college to begin his music career, joining Cal Tjader's band. In 1975, he joined Cannonball Adderley's band. In 1977, he formed the band Answering Service with saxophonist Alex Foster. Wolff worked with other famous musicians/bands including Warren Zevon, The Thad Jones/ Mel Lewis Orchestra, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Jean-Luc Ponty, Children On The Corner,Terri Lyne Carrington Tony Williams, and Christian McBride.
