Just a simple video to promote the album "Under The Covers, Vol 3" from Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoffs.

Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs continue their parade through pop's past with Under the Covers, Vol. 3, a third volume that brings the duo into the '80s. This just so happens to be the decade when both singers began their professional careers

Under the Covers, Vol. 1 is the first collaboration between alternative rock artist Matthew Sweet and Bangles singer/guitarist Susanna Hoffs. Released by Shout! Factory in 2006, the album contains 15 cover versions of songs from the 1960s and 1970s. The album was a result of their mutual love for songwriting from the 1960s. Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs decided to record an album together in dedication of that era consisting of only cover versions.

Under the Covers, Vol. 3 Matthew Sweet. The Bangles! The Bangles.

Completely Under The Covers (4CD). Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoffs. From the new liner note by Paul Myers: For me, says Susanna Hoffs, making these recordings just felt like two music nerds getting together and having a really good time playing and recording songs that we worship. Hoffs, a founding member of The Bangles, is fondly recalling the period between 2006 and 2013 when she and co-conspirator Matthew Sweet released three full volumes of their Under The Covers series, on which the two teamed up to pay homage to many of the singles (and album deep cuts) from the 60s, 70s, and 80s which informed and. shaped their own musical destinies.

Here we find them wearing their interpretative hats as the two delve into hand-picked tracks from the '80s, like Petty's "Free Fallin," the Pretenders' "Kid" and the Go Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed.
