Honky Tonk Heroes is an album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings, released in 1973 on RCA Victor. With the exception of "We Had It All", all of the songs on the album were written or co-written by Billy Joe Shaver. The album is considered an important piece in the development of the outlaw subgenre in country music as it helped revive the honky tonk music of Nashville by injecting a rock and roll attitude.

Honky Tonk Man is the third album by pioneer Country rock musician Steve Young, although this album has more of a straight country sound. All tracks composed by Steve Young; except where indicated. Honky Tonk Man" (Johnny Horton, Howard Hausey, Tilman Franks) - 2:23. Brain Cloudy Blues" (Bob Wills, Tommy Duncan) - 4:48. Rock Salt & Nails" (Utah Phillips) - 3:58. Rockin' Chair Money" (Bill Carlisle, Lonnie Glosson) - 2:37. Ramblin' Man" (Hank Williams) - 3:44.

Honky Tonk Central is the largest Honky Tonk on world famous 'Lower Broadway' in downtown Nashville. I asked the police officer if he could do something about it and his response to me was I’m just trying to keep the peace. I’ve been told all the cops and bouncers work together and are friends but I was shocked that he did nothing. It’s funny how the bouncer went from not giving it back to me to throwing it in the trash where he knew I could get it. Seems to me he was on a power trip and couldn’t admit his mistake. I’ve never met a more arrogant piece of shit in my life and I hope honky tonk central does something about this.

Buddy Jones (born Oscar Bergen Riley, December 25, 1902 - October 20, 1956) was an American Western swing musician who recorded in the 1930s and 1940s. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina, and after his father's death moved to Port Arthur, Texas as a child. He began performing in travelling shows with his brother Buster, before settling in Shreveport in the early 1930s. There he began performing on radio station KRMD, and met singer Jimmie Davis. Jones first recorded with Davis in 1931, and continued to perform as a member of Davis' backing band.

Go to artist profile. Lawrence Hankins 'Hank' Locklin (February 15, 1918 – March 8, 2009) was an American country music singer and songwriter. His singles charted from 1949-1971. Locklin was one of country music's early honky tonk singers.
