Rubberneck (6) ‎– The "As If" EP. Label: Jazz Girl Records ‎– RN3-007. Format: CD, EP. Country: UK.

As If! is the debut extended play (EP) by American singer and songwriter Sky Ferreira. Its lead single "Sex Rules" was released on March 1, 2011.

Blackpink (stylized as BLAƆKPIИK) is the debut Japanese extended play by South Korean girl group Blackpink, released digitally on August 29, 2017, and physically on August 30 by YGEX and Avex Entertainment. The EP debuted atop the Oricon Albums Chart in its daily and weekly charts. The group became the third foreign artist to top the chart with a debut release since 2011. A reissue of the EP titled Re: Blackpink was released on March 28, 2018. On the opening track "Sex Rules", Ferreira sings over a 1980s pop-style beat about sexual liberation, instructing the listener to "Use your god-given tools".

The album would yield three Top 40 singles - as many as Nirvana would have over an entire career - and the biggest hit, "Comedown," plays in the 2010 video of Miley Cyrus smoking salvia. Due to label drama that left an entire second album stashed in the Interscope vaults, Rubberneck was the first and last commercial gasp from the band - but you can see their legacy in other place. As if a major-label deal floating towards a hardcore punk band in their 14th year wasn't unlikely enough, Bad Religion's Stranger Than Fiction somehow united Rancid's Tim Armstrong (he duets on furious lambaste "Television"), Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski (he directed the video for "21st Century "), and CHiPs cop.

As I flew by in hot pursuit of my husband who was breaking every motoring offence known to Kiwi, I did however manage to see PC Plod rub his eyes and rubberneck to see if what he had seen was a trick of the light, or whether a lone British car had somehow landed on Kiwi soil. Driven to distraction. A note from mum. In light of getting the coveted support slot for Blues Pills, organized by GS promotions and Rubberneck, the band are bringing forward the release of their EP track Uncertain and are planning to make it a free download for two weeks prior to the gig. Indigo Moon are sky high

Alex Karpovsky’s Rubberneck-one of the two films (the other being the al road comedy Red Flag) the is releasing that fatal mistake at the tail end of a cool, Soderberghian mood piece about romantic obsession that was already barely keeping it together. Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is possibly the greatest horror film ever made, but it ends with one of Hitchcock’s worst scenes, a tacked-on soliloquy by a psychiatrist who explains-mostly for the benefit of an unseen audience-why Norman Bates is who he is. It’s easy enough to write the scene off as a convention of the time, perhaps imposed by a studio unwilling to let viewers live with the disturbing ambiguity of Bates’ character. But there’s a lesson there for psychological thrillers of all stripes: Don’t explain the psychology part away.
