The Complete Jack the Ripper A-Z has an entry for almost every person involved in the case - from suspects and witnesses, to policemen and journalists - plus the many ordinary people who became caught up in the unfolding drama, no matter how briefly. No serious student of the Jack the Ripper murders should pass this book by. Indeed, it such a valuable, and detailed, resource on all aspects of the case, that it has, quite legitimately as it happens, been hailed as nothing short of the "bible" of Ripper studies.

Jack the Ripper was an unidentified serial killer generally believed to have been active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888.

Jack the Ripper" is a song written by Clarence Stacy, his brother Charles Stacy, Walter Haggin and Joe Simmons, and first recorded by Clarence Stacy in 1961. His recording, arranged by Lor Crane, was issued that year as a single on the Carol record label in New York City. The most famous recording was by English musician Screaming Lord Sutch, released as a 7" single in the UK and Germany in 1963 on Decca

Crime Historian and Jack the Ripper tour guide, Richard C Cobb investigated the United Kingdom’s most infamous serial killers and found some startling comparisons in both Ripper cases. Background to Murder: The areas in which both killers began their reign of terror were regarded as slum quarters of the city, deprived and poverty stricken. Unemployment was high and an area where few decent people would dare to venture.

The Jack The Ripper murders occurred between August 31st, 1888, and November 9th, 1888. Although we can't say for certain, it is widely believed that Jack the Ripper had 5 victims. Those five victims were, Mary Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Kelly. However, there were 11 murders in the series of crimes that were officially known as "The Whitechapel Murders. If, as is generally believed, Jack the Ripper had only five victims, then he wasn't a particularly prolific murderer, compared to many who have come since, and the fact that his so-called reign of terror lasted a mere twelve or so weeks means that he wasn't at large for a particularly long period of time.
