Shout: The Very Best of Tears for Fears - Студийный альбом от Tears for Fears. Вышел 25 сентября 2001г. В альбом вошло 18 треков.

Shout" is a song by British band Tears for Fears, written by Roland Orzabal and Ian Stanley and sung by Orzabal (with Curt Smith duetting on the chorus). First released in the UK on 23 November 1984, it was the band's eighth single release (the second taken from their second album Songs from the Big Chair) and sixth UK top 40 hit, peaking at number four in January 1985. In the US, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on 3 August 1985 and remained there for three weeks.

Tears for Fears are an English pop rock band formed in Bath, England in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. Founded after the dissolution of their first band, the mod-influenced Graduate, Tears for Fears were initially associated with the new wave synthesiser bands of the early 1980s. Later, the band branched out into mainstream rock and pop and attained international chart success. Tears for Fears were part of the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US.

Shout was released as a single in 1984, and is the first song on Tears for Fears' second album, Songs from the Big Chair. It was no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 3 weeks in August 1985, and remains one of their most recognizable (and excessively sampled) songs. This song was also covered by Disturbed for their album The Sickness, titled as Shout 2000. The song is often mislabeled as an emo song when the message is more a call to action than an expression of pain. What have the artists said about the song?

Album: Songs From the Big Chair (1984). Charted: 4 1. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. This was written by Tears For Fears frontman Roland Orzabal and keyboard player Ian Stanley. Initially I only had the chorus, which was very repetitive, like a mantra. I played it to Ian Stanley, our keyboardist, and Chris Hughes, the producer. I saw it as a good album track, but they were convinced it would be a hit around the world
