Louis Armstrong (1901–1971), nicknamed Satchmo or Pops, was an American trumpeter, composer, singer and occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz and in all of American popular music. A great LP to hear some of the key early Louis Armstrong recordings. Engineered by Robert Parker who cleaned up the original 78 sound and added stereo. Sound quality is very good considering these tracks were recorded in the 1920s.
