Johnny Cash Sings the Songs That Made Him Famous is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Johnny Cash. It was originally released on 13 November 1958, but later re-issued in 2003, under the label Varèse Sarabande, with four different versions of tracks already present on the original LP as a bonus

Neil Sedaka Sings His Greatest Hits from 1962 - containing the pop singer's material from the late '50s and early '60s - is not to be confused with the 1976 Rocket Records compilation Neil Sedaka's Greatest Hits, though the two 12-song single discs from different decades make an almost comprehensive collection of his 21 Top 40. recordings, as well as pretty good bookends. You won't find "Where the Boys Are," his big Connie Francis hit, here, though Sedaka does belt that one out live, which brings our attention to the downside of this otherwise fine roundup.

For the band’s 1980 album The Game, their big breakthrough in the US, Brian May contributed three great songs. Freddie sang two of them: the melodramatic ballad Save Me, and the funk rock ass-kicker Dragon Attack. The third, Sail Away Sweet Sister, was sung by May, although Freddie took the lead mid-song, and harmony vocals enhanced a grandstanding chorus in the classic Queen tradition. May also harmonizes with himself, quite brilliantly, in a multi-tracked guitar solo.

So we just went in and recorded them, but we weren’t allowed to be in there for the mix or anything. With ‘Ride the Lightning,’ there was no manager telling us, ‘Stay away from this studio’.

As a playlist maker, Yorke is admittedly a bit all over the place. Five years on and with a brand-new album ready for show, Yorke would accompany the release of 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool with a six-hour compilation of tracks that had been featured on their blog under the innocuous title of Radiohead Office Charts. If you were looking to dissect Thom Yorke’s brain, this is probably a good place to start your examination.
