Spider Caught the Moth by The Skycall Drone Congregation, released 18 August 2012 1. From above the canopy, the sound of horns reverberated through us. A tone, which could easily be confused as smugness, told us we had arrived. Arrived but not welcomed. 2. The burning treeline gave us an unwarranted sense of security. We wallowed in our own false sense of well being, but always with the truth gnawing on the backs of our minds. A cicada buzzing inside each of our skulls. 3. The river, which was once a source of life for us all, had fallen victim as well  . Includes high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Paying supporters also get unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app. Purchasable with gift card.

A drone is a male honey bee. Unlike the female worker bee, drones do not have stingers and gather neither nectar nor pollen. A drone's primary role is to mate with an unfertilized queen. Drones carry only one type of allele at each chromosomal position, because they are haploid (containing only one set of chromosomes from the mother). During the development of eggs within a queen, a diploid cell with 32 chromosomes divides to generate haploid cells called gametes with 16 chromosomes

It’s called SkyCall and consists of a mobile app paired with an autonomous flying quadcopter that helps people find their way around the MIT campus. A person downloads the SkyCall app to a smartphone, which leverages the phone’s GPS chip to determine the person’s location. The quadcopter then flies its way to the person, greets the person and then prompts the person for a code containing the building and room numbers of his or her destination. The SkyCall system is currently a prototype of sorts, but it’s part of a larger development program that is currently underway at Senseable City Lab, with the broader aim of exploring novel, positive uses of UAV technology in the urban context, according to the project’s site.
