Hailing from the small town of Erin, Ontario. In 1993, they began making music together and playing shows as the Tidbits of Geldwen, taking their name from a building company logo which adorned a trucker-cap worn by James at each of their shows. In 1994, the duo self-released their first and only cassette: a six-song demo recorded with Rob McLean at the University of Guelph.

Newly remastered, Rise still sounds like the first album by a band destined for greatness, even if The Answer have had to make do with being merely great. A bonus disc containing numerous demos, rarities and a new, slightly peculiar mix of Under The Sky makes this a more than worthy reissue. Rise towers over most comparable 21st-century rock albums and, as a result, both album and its creators deserve to be celebrated with rather more vigour than has latterly been the case. a secondary attraction. You come to hear multiple alternate versions of material that could be and was played live by a rock band. or sounded just as complete in hootenanny form in the all-acoustic demos. Hope you take on Abbey Road and Let It Be next as their is so much that can be done with them.
We’ve been working very hard on getting this ready for you, and it is launching in stores tomorrow alongside the new Mistborn novel. I’ll talk about this at the bottom of the post; and be warned, there’s a special announcement there as well. Releasing this can’t help but make me reminisce. This past spring marked the tenth anniversary of Elantris’s release. This book will be released in three print formats, including trade paperback and hardcover, starting tomorrow. The changes are pervasive, but minor, and I’ll list them below. First off, some questions I’m anticipating. This is now the canon version of the book, which doesn’t matter much for continuity-it just means that we’ll be (slowly) updating all formats across all countries to match this text.
