Coldplay have today announced the global release of their seventh album, A Head Full Of Dreams, on Friday, December 4 via Parlophone Records.
Dreaming My Dreams is the twenty-second studio album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings. The album was co-produced with Jack Clement and recorded at Glaser Sound Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, between February and July 1974. Following the 1972 renewal of his contract with RCA Records, Jennings gained artistic freedom, started to produce his own records, and changed his image to one inspired by the ongoing outlaw movement

A Head Full of Dreams is Coldplay’s chance to reassert the eager-to-please exuberance that Ghost Stories deliberately downplayed and prove that Adele isn’t the only artist who can mobilize a monoculture in 2015. But on the band’s seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, the band’s relentless campaign to raise our spirits is liable to induce altitude sickness. Of course, there’s a perfectly logical reason for the album’s oversold optimism- A Head Full of Dreams is a reactionary retort to 2014’s Ghost Stories, a low-key response to a high-profile split that literally wore its (broken) heart on its sleeve. The new album, by contrast, is Martin’s unconscious recoupling record, the sound of a freshly single man stepping out onto the dancefloor to lose his mind and find new love.
The album opener is a slow, calm and melodious tune in which Kid Cudi welcomes us to his dreams. As we enter his dream world, we soon learn that it is a happy place - in his dreams, Cudi is at peace and everything is perfect. This is reflected in the nature of the track: It is so placid, the comfort of his dream-like state is almost palpable. We are inclined to join Cudi in dreaming before Common wakes us up, giving a narrated introduction to the album: This is the beginning of the story of the Man on the Moon and our trip through Cudder’s mind. This is the beginning of Act I: The End of Da.
A Head Full of Dreams. A Head Full of Dreams is a top-rate crowd-pleaser and a very accomplished album with more surprises, more life in it than the largely melancholy Ghost Stories. Some might be upset that they went in the Pop direction; but being Coldplay in one of their better guises, this is probably one of the very best "Pop" albums put out this year.
