2014 soundtrack album by Various artists. Soundtrack album by. Various artists. Annie is a soundtrack to the 2014 film of the same name, released by Roc Nation, Overbrook Entertainment, Madison Gate Records and RCA Records on November 17, 2014. The soundtrack's executive producer was Greg Kurstin, who also collaborated with Sia Furler to create new arrangements for three songs from the original Broadway production of Annie: "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here", "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" and "Little Girls". Australian Albums (ARIA). 52. US Billboard 200.

Affectionately nicknamed "The Red Album", the 1977 original Broadway cast recording of ANNIE has never been out of the catalogue, enjoying steady sales for the past thirty years. Andrea McArdle is still the definitive Annie for most fans, belting out her signature "Tomorrow" with all the confidence of a seasoned Broadway veteran; though in fact this was her Broadway debut and she had only won the role after the little girl originally cast as Annie was deemed "unsatisfactory" during early tryouts.

Great Britain waited 39 years for a second major stage production of Annie Get Your Gun after the first version in 1947, the year following the Broadway opening. But on July 29, 1986, a revival mounted by the Chichester Festival Theatre was launched at the West End's Aldwych Theatre starring American-born pop singer Suzi Quatro as sharpshooter Annie Oakley and Eric Flynn as her rival and lover Frank Butler. Quatro was familiar to British audiences for her string of rock hits in the 1970s, but this was not merely stunt casting.
