Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in 1986. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss. They had chart success in the 1990s with singles which included "Walk on the Ocean", "All I Want", "Something's Always Wrong", "Fall Down", and "Good Intentions". The name had been used once before, by a short-lived British blues band of the late 1970s that had appeared on the 1980 Metal for Muthas compilation, although the. earlier band had long since split up.

Toad The Wet Sprocket. Another day, I call and never speak And you would say nothing's changed at all And I can't feel much hope for anything If I won't be there to catch you if you fall. Again (oh again) It seems we meet (meet and mend) In the spaces (spaces safe) In between (between intent) We always say (say too much) Won't be long (long been gone) Oh, but something's always wrong. Another game of putting things aside As if we'll come back to them sometime A brace of hope, a pride of innocence And you would say something has gone wrong.

Again (We fail) It seems we meet (To meet and mend) In the spaces (Spaces safe) In between (Between intents) We always say (Say too much) It won't be long (Long been gone) Oh, but something's always wrong. Another game of putting things aside As if we'll come back to them some time A brace of hopes, a pride of innocents And you would say something has gone wrong.
