Two, Utah Saints' second official album, is the result of a nine-year layoff that was this close to retirement by techno terms. In 1992, Utah Saints' self-titled debut was one of the year's most exciting dance releases.
You’re only as good as your last album, and the Utah Saints’ debut set the bar pretty high. Three top ten hits, success in America, and a six-album deal with London Records. How do you follow that? For Tim Garbutt and Jez Willis, the obvious choice was to hand in an album of anti-hits and ultra-fast techno bangers so radio-unfriendly that they were promptly dropped from a label expecting more pop hooks and effortlessly marketable stadium dance beats.
Utah Saints is the self-titled debut album by British electronic band Utah Saints. It was originally released in the United States in 1992, and a version with a different cover and two extra tracks was released in the United Kingdom in 1993, reaching number 10 on the UK Albums Chart. Singles released from this album include "Something Good", "I Want You", and "What Can You Do for Me".
