Rachel Bissex is in Newton, Massachusetts, grew up. As a 13 - year-old she gets her first guitar and learn through self-study folk standards of Joan Baez and Peter, Paul and Mary as well as writing songs. Following her art studies Bissex moved in 1982 to Burlington, Vermont. During her short career Bissex takes on five albums with his own songs, but also covers of Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell, among others, and opened concerts by Joan Armatrading, Arlo Guthrie, Little Feat and Ray Charles. In 2004 Bissex changes to film and theater.
