This is an amazing album and a true rarity.Deio Escobar is a kind of Gaucho Jeff Beck. He is not only a powerful and historical guitar hero, but also moves with ease by the most different musical styles. He began his career in "Rola Blues," a legendary Blues-Rock band from Porto Alegre, in the 1970s. He later became a songwriter for folk/fusion musician Renato Borghetti, a member of the heavy metal/hard rock band Cambio Negro (3), played with the band "O Espírito da Coisa" (not the homonymous O Espírito Da Coisa from Rio de Janeiro, but the one from Rio Grande do Sul), as well as he has played several different musical styles. His only solo album seeks to capture all sides of his work. On Side A, the most eclectic side of the album, "Isto é Apenas Meu Sangue" is a spectacular Blues-Rock, reminiscent of his Rola Blues era. "Coração Encilhado" is a beautiful Gaucho Folk/Fusion, filled with many guitar solos, a guest participation of Renato Borghetti and beautiful lyrics. "Dedo no Umbigo" is a delicious and tasteful song that moves between Neo-Prog, Fusion and Synth-Pop of the 1980s. "No Clube e No Asfalto” is a Samba/Fusion song, with a nervous electric guitar, reminiscent of Trio Elétrico Dodô E Osmar and A Cor Do Som. "Rainha dos Vagabundos" is the typical ballad made by the 1980’s rock bands from Porto Alegre that had The Rolling Stones as a main reference. The B side is the more experimental one, in which predominates Progressive Rock and Jazz-Fusion, with Latin elements. Among the many beautiful songs on the side are the Progressive "America Lunares", the Experimental "Terra à Vista/Projeto Secreto", the Pink Floyd-ish (from the Syd Barrett era) "Conto de Fadas" and the Experimental/Latin Fusion "Nordestina", recorded with the Argentine band Los Músicos Del Centro, a band that backed Litto Nebbia. In general, more than a great rarity, it is a tasteful album, full of amazing moments, up to the talent of the genial Deio Escobar.
