Marilyn Manson saw an uptick in his career with 2012's 'Born Villain' and we're thrilled to report that 'The Pale Emperor' is a disc that will likely keep his resurgence going strong. It's a satisfying listening experience from top to bottom, giving you a true "album" experience rather than feeling like a collection of random songs. This disc will satisfy fans and leave them anxious about where he'll take his music next. 10 Unforgettable Marilyn Manson Moments. Filed Under: Marilyn Manson.

Released January 15, 2015. The Pale Emperor Tracklist. 1. Killing Strangers Lyrics. Normally I’d title the album before the album was made but this time I titled it after it was made. I unearthed all of these books and I found this book Johnny gave me in Y2K when I went to stay with him in South of France because we thought the world was going to come to an end. Instead we set off firecrackers and bought all the absinthe there was in different countries. I read it and it was referring to this emperor who they referred to the pale emperor and I identified with it suddenly. He’s the topmost person that gives me things that I don’t really know why at the time but I know later

Deep Six. Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge. The Mephistopheles Of Los Angeles. Slave Only Dreams To Be King. The Devil Beneath My Feet. Birds Of Hell Awaiting. Cupid Carries A Gun. Odds Of Even. Fated, Faithful, Fatal (Bonus Track). Fall Of The House Of Death (Bonus Track).

Track 11-13 are listed as bonus tracks only on the sticker that was located on the outside of the wrap as 'Bonus Acoustic Tracks'.

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of Marilyn Manson. I do like songs from his 'Antichrist Superstar' album, but I've just never really been fond of his overplayed shock rock approach. I don't really care if a band wants to visually shock it's listeners, but sometimes it can get overused and just become an annoyance. The Pale Emperor', however, shows Manson really move away from his previous style. By move away from his.

Marilyn Manson hones his dark magic for his best, most twisted alt-rock party in years. Back in the Nineties, Marilyn Manson sold a lot of records and scared a lot of parents by playing Alice Cooper shockrocker at the goth pity party.

Did anyone else notice the individual photographs deteriorating when shelved after a year or so?
Mine too. Apparently it's supposed to look/feel like sand-paper because of the so-called 'UV grit varnish'. It's a thing in printing/photography said the internet.
Yes! Mine have almost fallen off completely... !! Was a bit surprised when they turned to dust
I’ve had mine for a year, just checked them and they’re still perfect. Maybe it’ll get worse in another year.
Awsome deluxe copy with a perfect sound. The artwork is terrific !
What about the 3x 12" Photo Art Prints ? I bought this records on its release date, listened a couple of times and put it on the shelf where I got all my records. I've returned to it after some time and all the photo art prints have decorticated, like old paint on the wall or dried fish scales. I left them in the gatefold all the time. Does anybody meet the same ?
Yes, just opened my copy to find the samething has happened :(
That's how they are supposed to look and feel. My copies are the same right out of the sealed package.
A very good release , sound amazing , no distortion , no skip or crack .... Deluxe packaging is a very good bonus .... One of my best sounding vinyl...
This is an outstanding album, one of Manson's best. The packaging of the Deluxe version is a real bonus.
Manson has always been a complex creature. He always had a way to re invent himself with each album and keep his shock value while still having talent and substance to keep people coming back for more. The problem is that once the primary fan base started to grow up, that edge started to dull and that's where "Eat me, drink me" , "the high end of low" and "Born villain" come into play. He tried to keep the edge but there wasn't much in the way of substance to back it up so these albums are rather sad and forgettable at best. Now that he has had a chance to grow as a musician and learn from his past mistakes "The pale emperor" is quite possibly his freshest and personally, most satisfying work since "Mechanical Animals" and "Holy wood". If nobody has had a chance to give this album a listen to I say go for it. With it's odd mix of classic Manson edge with a new blues inspired fusion it has secured it's place in one of my 10 favorite albums.
Great LP.
I ordered from the Manson site. I'm in the US but got this pressing?
Light out of Fildon
Which pressing did you receive exactly?
This album is one hell of a comeback for Manson. Very well done.
Wow. This album is amazing! I had to stop spinning the vinyl and switch to the mp3 version because I got tired of flipping it so much.
This must be the best stuff he's done since Holy Wood. Vinyl pressing is excellent too and artwork is very classy.
